A 40ft container of Medical Supplies has been shipped by land/sea from Salt Lake City, Utah in the United States to Palestine.
The total humanitarian value of this donation is $198,213.42 and has been assigned to benefit those in need of urgent medical attention in Palestine.
The donation from MCEC has also contributed towards the delivery of family food parcels that have been distributed by Islamic Help’s team in Gaza.
Against all difficulties and dangers that surround movement in Gaza, the team continues to carry out its work as part of its obligation towards displaced brothers and sisters supported by the assistance of generous donations from organisations such as MCEC and its congregation.
On Tuesday 22nd July 2014, the team in Gaza distributed 700 family meal parcels to 3500 displaced Palestinian families. Most of these families moved from the Shujaiya neighbourhood due to the war in Gaza. The distribution was done in Bahrain Junior High School run by UNRWA, south west of Gaza City.
