MCEC recently hosted an eye-opening exhibition on climate change titled Letters From the Global South!
Held in the foyer of the Masjid, the exhibition was open to everyone and aimed to shed light on the global climate crisis from the perspectives of the Global South.
The impacts of climate change, such as heatwaves, storms, heavy rainfall, and droughts, are undeniable. This exhibition offered a powerful insight into these effects, raising awareness about their profound consequences. It also highlighted the importance of supporting the proposed Climate and Nature Bill. Turning this bill into law could make a real difference in addressing these challenges.
Our local MP, Bambos Charalambous, visited the exhibition, met with the community, and shared his thoughts on why it is crucial to support this bill.
Remember to ask your MP to vote in favour of the Climate and Nature Bill during its Second Reading on 24th January 2025.
