We have three positions we’d like to fill.

1. Islamic Studies Teacher

This is an opportunity to join a well established team on Saturday mornings from 0815 to 1230pm 

 Job description

1. Develop and prepare lesson plans in line with the School curriculum
2. Manage the diverse ability levels of students, adapting lesson plans to meet specific student needs
3. Provide a positive and safe learning environment for students
4. Assess and record student development, while identifying areas which may need attention
5. Communicate with the teaching assistant on areas of support

Required skills / qualifications

1. An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
2. Flexibility and creativity
3. Previous experience in a teaching role preferable
4. To have subject knowledge and understanding of the required level

2. Islamic Studies Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a talented Islamic Studies Teaching Assistant; Saturdays between 8:15am-12:30pm

 Job description

1. Assist the subject teacher to prepare and plan for lessons
2. Assist the subject teacher to teach and lead the classes
3. Cover for the subject teacher if absent
4. Provide help to students throughout the lesson, and to students who may need extra support in completing tasks

Required skills / qualifications

1. An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
2. Flexibility and creativity
3. Previous experience in a teaching assistant role preferable
4. To have subject knowledge and understanding of the required level

3. Pilot Class Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a talented Pilot Teaching Assistant; Saturdays between 8:15am-12:30pm. Pilot class is our foundational year group for students from the ages of 6-7

 Job description

1. Assist the subject teacher to prepare and plan for lessons
2. Assist the subject teacher to teach and lead the classes
3. Cover for the subject teacher if absent
4. Provide help to students throughout the lesson, and to students who may need extra support in completing tasks

Required skills / qualifications

1. An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
2. Flexibility and creativity
3. Previous experience in a teaching assistant role preferable
4. To have subject knowledge and understanding of the required level

Standard MCEC pay scale for teachers and teaching assistants
