the mosque and accompany the family to the cemetery, provide religious guidance, and

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Janazah (funeral) prayers and perform all required Islamic funeral rites.
- Drive the hearse to the cemetery and back to the Mosque
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to grieving families.
- Deliver reminders and short talks related to death and the afterlife at funerals.
- Be on call for funeral services and flexible with scheduling, including weekends.
- Ensure the deceased is treated with utmost respect and dignity in all aspects of the funeral process.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Have a strong knowledge of Islamic funeral rites and procedures.
- A clean driving licence (minimum 3 years)
- Strong proficiency in reciting the Quran.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to offer comfort and support in sensitive situations.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion while dealing with grieving families.
- Experience in performing Janazah (funeral) prayers and leading funeral services is essential.
- Previous experience of driving a hearse or a large vehicle is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with the funeral directors
Remuneration:
Compensation will be based on experience and availability, following the MCEC’s pay scale for religious services.
