Pay before 23rd March so we can safely distribute to the needy in time!
The Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ) said regarding Zakat al-Fitr:
“Whoever pays Zakat al-Fitr before the Eid prayer, it is an accepted Zakat. Whoever pays it after the prayer, it is just a kind of charity (Sadaqah).”
(Sunan Abu Dawood 1609)
Therefore, to ensure its validity as Zakat al-Fitr, one should give it before the Eid prayer.
