Vacancy: Girls Hifz Class Teacher

Muslim Community and Education Centre (MCEC) – Palmers Green Mosque is seeking a dedicated and skilled Female Hifz Class Teacher to join our education team.

About MCEC

MCEC is a non-profit charity serving the local Muslim community through worship, education and social facilities in line with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). We also provide culturally sensitive services that support the wider North London community and foster community cohesion.

Working Hours

• Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
• Friday: 5:30pm – 7:00pm

The Role

The successful candidate will support students in their Quran memorisation journey, helping them build confidence, consistency and strong Tajweed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons in face-to-face and online formats.
• Lead classes with effective classroom management and a positive teaching approach.
• Provide individualised support for students memorising and revising the Quran.
• Monitor progress, assess students and develop a structured programme for each learner.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must be a Hafiza.
• Strong command of the Quran and proficiency in Tajweed.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with students and adults.
• Creative, flexible and supportive teaching style.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Remuneration

The role is paid in accordance with the standard MCEC teacher pay scale.
