Deadline Approaching: The Journey 2011 – Bosnia-Herzegovina

Are you looking for a unique kind of international volunteering experience? This year at MCEC with MADE in Europe, we’re offering an exciting opportunity to travel to Bosnia & Herzegovina, on a journey of discovery, reflection, and exchange.
We want to revive the Islamic concept of a journey as an act of learning and enrichment, not just a photo opportunity. It’s not just a physical journey, but a journey of reflection, exploring our motivations for action and contemplating the world around us.
But you’re not making the journey alone. You’re going to be representing your community and embarking on a process of learning and reflection with those around you. As their representatives, you’ll be their voice when you go to Bosnia, and you’ll also bring back your experiences to share with them. You’ll also be working as part of a team of young people representing other communities like your own
