Resignation of Shaykh Salah Al Ansari

As you may have recently heard, one of our Imams, Shaykh Salah Al Ansari has taken up a position with the Quilliam Foundation.
The Shaykh joined us back in 2010 and then again in 2013. During both spells of employment with us, he has been a committed friend and regular contributor to life at Palmers Green Mosque. The depth of his Islamic knowledge is significant and his demeanour and behaviour while with us is one to be respected and cherished.
Since joining the Quilliam Foundation earlier this week, he felt it would be best for both himself and MCEC Palmers Green Mosque that he resigns from his position with us.
While some may not agree with his decision, it is not for us to question or judge. One must respect and be honourable to an individual’s decision.
All our Imams have over the years always stated that maintaining respect and observing the etiquette of disagreement is what marks us out as an Ummah of balance and we should remind ourselves of this always.
