We are not holding a congregational prayer for the Eclipse this Friday 20 March. However, Masjid will be open in case anyone wants to come and pray, recite etc.
Also just to mention as a reminder that when the sun was eclipsed at the time of the Messenger of Allah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he would warn people, let them know about these as signs from Allah [AWJ] and command them to pray, and to make du’aa’, seek His forgiveness, give charity, free slaves and do other righteous deeds so that the punishment would go away and not befall the people. So the eclipse is a reminder to people, making them afraid so that they will turn back to Allah and pay attention to Him. Praying in Jamaat is one good tradition, but if it doesn’t happens due to any reason i.e not noticing the time or whatsoever, then there is
a] no Qada of the prayer
b] there are other good deeds which could be still done.
