Thoughts on Lahore

Easter is a time for celebration for the Christian community. The wishing well for other people is an inherently Islamic trait which cannot be denied. The recent murder of Asad Shah in Glasgow shows that there are people who cannot abide words of kindness, goodness and love.
Yesterday’s events in Pakistan also raises a situation where the heart once again is crying and the mind is asking for answers why?
NO book of guidance gives anyone the right to target and kill innocent civilians, especially children and women. This is surely the work of evildoers.
Additionally the leaders, manufacturers and sellers of arms, who sit in comfort giving their orders, will have much to answer on the day of judgment.
Our condolences and prayers go out to the families in Lahore. We also pray that the police and security forces are victorious in keeping the innocent people safe.
“We will not let the terrorists win by dividing us.”
