The Muslim Community and Education Centre (MCEC), also known as Palmers Green Mosque, is seeking a committed and inspiring Saturday School Principal to lead the day-to-day running of our Saturday School.
Our Saturday School plays an important role in nurturing children with a strong foundation in Islamic Studies, Qur’an education, good character and belonging. We are looking for someone who can support both students and teachers, maintain high standards, and help create a safe, organised and positive learning environment every week.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about children’s Islamic education and has the leadership skills to guide a dedicated weekend school team.
The Saturday School Principal will be responsible for the leadership, management and smooth operation of the school. The role involves supporting teachers, monitoring student progress, communicating with parents, maintaining records, and working closely with the CEO and Trustees to develop the school further.

This role would suit someone who is dependable, warm, structured and motivated by helping young people learn and grow.
Contract: Permanent, subject to successful probation
Hours: Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm, plus 1 flexible hour during the week for a debrief and catch-up with the CEO, 6 hours per week in total

Responsible to: CEO and Board of Trustees
The post holder may occasionally be required to attend parent meetings, teacher meetings, training sessions or school events outside normal Saturday hours with reasonable notice.
MCEC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures.
