MCEC Community Garden – Take 2 – Sunday 11th March

After one false start, we should insha’allah be ready to go again. This time there will insha’allah the ground will be just about perfect for a bit of digging and laying of sleepers. So get ready to get your hands dirty.
If you have already signed up and had confirmation from MCEC or Br Oussama at MADEinEurope then no need to do it again, but we do need you to be there.
To remind you what this is all about we need your help in setting up its community garden. The intention is to be able to grow local organic produce for the local community. With that you will learn how to do it for yourself and your families.
Are you aged 14–30?
Do you want to:
• Have fun setting up a community garden at your Mosque?
• Learn to grow your own food in interactive hands-on workshops?
• Learn about the global food cycle and why 1 in 7 people go to bed
hungry every night?
It is time to start living by Allah’s simple instruction:
O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is [indeed] Him that you worship. (2:172)
