Eid-ul-Fitr 2012 – Sunday 19th August

crescent
Insha’allah Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Sunday 19th August 2012.
Please be prompt and conscious of our neighbours. It is a Sunday when many people will be resting in the morning.
Also please be conscious of how well we also treat each other. It will be crowded so be mindful of the need to respect others’ space and requirement to pray.
The Eid Jamaat times are:
07.00: Led by Shaykh Ahmed Saad
08.15: Led by Ajmal Masroor
09.30: Led by Imam Abdussalam
10.45: Led by Imam Asif Riaz
Eid is a time of joy and celebration, to be spent with loved ones, family and friends. Eid is a time to continue further on the path towards spiritual development, through recitation of Qur’an, dhikr of Allah and reflection. Eid ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of fasting in the month of Ramadan.
We remind our congregation that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days from Shawwal it is as if they fasted the entire year.” (Shahih Muslim)
Jazak’Allah khayran to everyone that has supported the Mosque and Centre throughout Ramadan, with your donations and pledges.

Sadaqa al-Fitr
This year’s Sadaqatul Fitra is £4.00 per person. You have to pay this amount before you pray in the Eid Jama’ah. The money given will be distrubuted to the most in need around the world.
