A representative from one of our partner organisations
GlobalOne and Talat Shaikh from MCEC will be travelling to Jordan on 23 Sept 2013 to over see the distribution of aid packs to the Syrian Refugees.
It will be a difficult task in difficult circumstances but much needed to be done. Please pray that Allah guides us to do the humanitarian work and bring peace to the region.
We are not taking a convoy but are working with local humanitarian organisations to purchase Aid-Pack items (and to boost the local economy) as many of the convoys are stuck at various borders controls. We know people have numerous questions which is why we are giving as much details as below:
With regards to the list of items we will be looking at purchasing items which are needed locally.Due to issues of supplies etc… we will only know the exact items and their exact amounts a little closer to the time.
They calculate each Aid Box size as being for a family of 5. If a family has more than 5 members they are usually given 2 boxes. The aid box will last the family a little over a month in-sha-Allah.
We estimate £60 will pay for an Aid box for a family.
We have been collecting over the last few weeks and have raised a good amount of funds but this is our last push before we move out to where the aid is most needed. So if anyone wishes to contribute to them please drop off money to MCEC reception. If donating by cheque, please make them payable to
MCEC (write “Syria Aid” on the back ).
Please note, none of the donations are being used to pay for flights etc.
