With the pleasant spring breeze eagerly waiting to breathe life into the MCEC cricket season, Winter’s cold and callous grip on cricket proceedings loosened just a little. Enough to allow for the Islamic Society Indoor Cricket Tournament, anyway. A tournament featuring UCL, LSE, Warwick and our very own MCEC cricket team; and another tournament won by our Green Stars. After defeating both Warwick and LSE, captain Taha Ansari steered his team to victory against UCL in an exhilarating game. Victory was followed by a private team dinner at one of North West London’s finest steak restaurants, with the team only just eluding the watchful glare of the media.
